Friday marked one week since we brought Archie home! He has been such an amazing addition to our family! He's such a sweet boy!
Friday evening we went out for dinner to our favorite Mexican restaurant! Andy and I shared the steak, chicken, and shrimp fajitas! My favorite!
Then it was back home for a walk with Archie and then the opening ceremony of the Olympics!!!
Saturday morning I woke up earlier than normal to get in my long run. There was a heat advisory starting that day and I wanted to get my run in before the heat! I'll tell you more about my run on Wednesday!
Later that morning we took Archie for a ride in the truck! He LOVES to ride! Our ride led us to Petco where he got to pick out a harness and some treats!
After lunch we went shopping for school supplies and school uniforms! I am soooo glad that chore is done!!! And the boys are too!
After dinner Saturday night we took Archie to our favorite walking trail down by the bay! He absolutely LOVED it!!!
Pretty funny...I was trying to get Archie to pose for a picture but he wasn't cooperating lol! There was just too much to see and sniff on the pier!
We did get a GREAT shot later on though. I only wish Andy could have been IN the picture instead of taking it!
We were convinced that all our adventures that day and evening would have worn Archie out. But no....he was full of playfulness that night lol! He seriously was cracking us up playing with his ball! And yep....he has no modesty whatsoever lol!
Sunday morning I took Archie for a 20 minute walk before my run. Andy got up with him Saturday morning so I could go ahead and get in my long run early so it was only fair for me to return the favor Sunday morning and let Andy sleep in some. Of course this walk turned into one where he tried to chase the two bunnies that we saw lol!
After our walk I got in my run. I can't wait for Archie to be fully healed from being neutered so he can run with me! I came in from my run and this happened! Just a boy and his dog lol!
Now it's time for the Weekly Chase! It's a new week and I have new goals to achieve! I hope you will link up your own goals with me too! And feel free to use the badge below in your post too! You can grab the badge HERE! :-)
Here are last week's goals!
- Goal #1: Run every day! Yes! The streak is still going!!!
- Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. 50%. I've really slacked on this the past few weeks and I've got to get serious about it again!
- Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. Yes!
- Goal #4: Move 11,000 steps or more each day this week. Yes! And this is so much easier now that I have a dog that demands several walks a day lol!
- Goal #5: Run at least 1 run under 2 miles. No. This is another goal I really need to achieve. I know once school starts I will be forced to run less each day due to time.
- Goal #6: Eat less calories each day. Yes! I've been really good about maintaining my current weight and not gaining.
- Goal #7: Take at least one walk this week. Yes! Several walks a day in fact!
- Goal #8: Strength train at least 2 times this week. Yes! The hubby and I got to work out together this week! Yay!
- Goal #9: Go through the boys' school uniforms. Yes! And the boys have grown out of EVERYTHING this summer!
- Goal #10: Buy school supplies for Hayden. Yes! And we got school uniform shopping all done as well! It was tax free weekend so I wanted to get it done and save some money!
