Our weekend started Friday night when we went to the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival with friends! This is an annual thing in our area but we've never been! The balloons were so gorgeous!!! They also had carnival rides, food, arts and craft booths, and live music! We had such a great time!
Saturday morning I ran a 7.25 mile long run. And I ran a 10K PR!!! I'll tell you more about my run on Wednesday!
After my run we headed up to the elementary school to look at instruments for Hayden. He is going to play the trumpet in band next year! He is so excited!
That afternoon we went to a birthday party. Our friends' little girl Zoey turned 4! She is THE CUTEST little girl ever!
The rest of the night we spent relaxing at home!
Sunday morning I had a great run before church! Then my boys showered me with the sweetest gifts that they made me for Mother's Day! So sweet!
Hayden made me a card that had a pop up inside that said Mom!
And Sawyer wrote me a poem AND a persuasive writing assignment where he had to persuade "People Magazine" that I was the mom of the year! Such amazing gifts from them!
And of course I needed a few pictures with my boys before church! I love them so much and am so blessed they made me a Mom!!!
After church we went to our friends the Brendel's house for a Mother's Day brunch! It was so yummy!
We took a few more pictures!
Then we took the kiddos to the splash pad. We left them with the Dad's and all the Mom's headed to Starbucks for half price frappuccinos! And...this Mom got a new water cup!!! So cute!!!
We brought frappuccinos back for everyone like good Mom's do!!!
This guy treated me like a princess all weekend long! So thankful for him!!!
We ended the day with a yummy dinner at Stix Hibachi Grill! So so delicious!!!
It was such a great weekend and an amazing Mother's Day!! So thankful!!!
Now it's time for the Weekly Chase! It's a new week and I have new goals to achieve! I hope you will link up your own goals with me too! And feel free to use the badge below in your post too! You can grab the badge HERE! :-)
Here are last week's goals!
Goal #1: Run every day! Yes! The streak is still going strong!
Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. Yep!
Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. 90%. I didn't log all my meals this weekend.
Goal #4: Move 11,000 steps or more each day this week. Yes!
Goal #5: Run at least 1 run under 2 miles. No. I didn't take my "rest" day this week. Gotta do that this week!
Goal #6: Eat less calories each day. I have been watching my portions for sure. Not sure how my calorie intake was this weekend since I didn't log everything. But I'm hoping all the running I did made up for it.
Goal #7: Take at least one walk after dinner with my hubby. No. I took several walks this week but none with my hubby since he worked late most nights. He did take a walk on his own on Saturday night though! But I had already promised Hayden I would watch Star Wars with him and couldn't back out on my promise.
Goal #8: Complete my May calendar and memory books. Yes!!! My calendar is done and my memory books are all done except for the graduation page! I can't add that until after graduation.
Here's my plan for this week!
Every week goals:
Goal #1: Run every day!
Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily.
Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories.
Goal #4: Move 11,000 steps or more each day this week.
Goal #5: Run at least 1 run under 2 miles.
Goal #6: Eat less calories each day.
Goal #7: Take at least one walk after dinner with my hubby. I'm hoping Andy won't have to work last this week so this can happen.
Goal #8: Order next school year's school supply packs. I always order the boys' school supplies through the school for the following school year. The order is due this week. I keep forgetting so I'm hoping making it a goal will help me get it done!
So that's the plan for this week! It's going to be a busy week at work because my preschoolers graduate on Thursday night! We will be busy practicing and decorating. It's always a fun but bittersweet week!
I hope you have a great week conquering your goals!
QOTD: What goals are you chasing this week?
