Fitness Friday...March 11th Edition!

Happy Friday y'all! I'm so happy it's the weekend! And even better....due to a teacher workday this is a 3 day weekend for us! Yay!

This week went by pretty fast. I love it when that happens! After work on Monday my co worker Allison and I went to Starbucks for half price frappuccinos! It was so yummy!


Speaking of Starbucks, one of my students is moving and his last day was Wednesday of this week. :-( His mom wrote me the sweetest note and included was a Starbucks gift card! LOVE!!!


I also received some super sweet happy mail this week from my friend Heather! She made the cute headbands and picked out the cutest bracelet for me! So sweet and it made my day!!!


I also had some fun times with my boys this week! They love taking goofy pictures! And this face that Hayden is making cracks me up every time! This was during homework time...when I was in desperate need of coffee! So a quick break gave us the energy we needed to get through the rest of their homework!


And here's Sawyer with some of his teammates from his gymnastics team. These boys have their final competition this weekend. It's their state meet and they are pumped!


This week I also cooked my favorite dinner...chicken breast, fresh squash and zucchini, and a baked sweet potato! Yummy!!!


Allison and I didn't have enough Starbucks on Monday so we went back after work on Thursday!

  • Friday- #plankaday 2:05, 1.91 mile run in 15:37 average pace 8:11

  • Saturday- Seeds Classic Rock 5K in 24:29 average pace 7:53
  • Sunday- 2.52 mile run in 20:25 average pace 8:06
  • Monday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.15 mile run in 17:45 average pace 8:16

  • Tuesday- #plankaday 2:05, 1.87 mile run in 15:34 average pace 8:19

  • Wednesday- #plankaday 2:10, 2.07 mile run in 17:11 average pace 8:19

  • Thursday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.11 mile run in 17:00 average pace 8:04


My runs were great this week! I really enjoyed running in the daylight! But I know that is now over since the time changes on Sunday. I will be back to dark runs next week. :-( 

I also had a great 5K race on Saturday! I placed 1st in my age group! I am trying to get all my recaps from Princess and Rock 'n' Roll New Orleans written and posted and then I'll write the recap for this one!

It was also really really windy this week! We have rain coming in. It's supposed to rain today and Saturday. I'm hoping I can get in at least 5-6 miles Saturday morning. I don't mind running in the rain but they are saying it may flood. Fingers crossed I get in my run before that!

Sawyer has his state gymnastics meet on Sunday! I'm hoping he has a great meet to end his competition season!

It will be a busy weekend but lots of fun! I hope you have a great weekend too!
