My weekend started Friday afternoon. My friend Kirstin and I went shopping for dresses for the upcoming Mardi Gras Ball! Of course we had to have Starbucks coffee first!
Then it was on to shopping! We went to JCPenney first but didn't have much luck. I tried on several dresses but they just weren't what I was looking for. I really wanted something simple and black or navy blue.
So next we went to Ross Dress for Less since we had heard they had really good deals on dresses. Well I found just what I was looking for! It was very simple and it was navy blue! The best part...it was only $17.99 y'all!!! It will need to be hemmed a little but Andy's mom should be able to do that for me. I just need shoes and some pretty jewelry to go with it! We are going to keep looking just in case but I'm pretty happy with this one! What do you think?
After shopping, we met the rest of our families at Mellow Mushroom for pizza! I had 10 miles to run the next day and needed my pizza fuel!
Saturday morning was a great 10 miles with Jenny! I'll tell you all about the run on Wednesday!
Andy and the boys and I all went shopping later that afternoon. We went shopping for a handgun for me! Andy wants me to have my own. We found a few we liked but I was leaning more towards this Springfield XD. We didn't buy one on Saturday because I wanted to shop around a little more.
Saturday night we went to Kirstin and Jim's house for dinner. We had hamburgers and hot dogs, homemade mac and cheese, baked beans, veggies, fries, and doritoes! They love to feed us lol! We then played Mexican Dominoes and watched some football. For dessert we had cookie sundaes! I was so thankful I had run 10 miles that morning lol! It was a fun night!
Sunday morning I slept in. My left eye has been twitching since Thursday afternoon and I read one of the causes could be tiredness. So I figured I needed some sleep. It was so nice to sleep in some!
I ran a little over 2 miles later that morning for my recovery run. My legs were a little sore from the 10 miles the day before. It's so weird how some runs my legs are fine and others they are sore! Does that happen to anyone else?
That afternoon we went gun shopping again. I ended up getting a Glock 19! It's a 9mm and felt the best in my hand. I can't wait to shoot it! And I'm excited that target shooting is a hobby I can share with my husband (who can't run) and my Dad!
Later that afternoon I met my Sole2Soul Sisters at the track for week 3 of their Couch to 5K training! They had to run 3 minute runs and they did amazing!!!

Here are my goals for this week!
Every week goals:
Goal #1: Run every day!
Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily.
Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories.
Goal #4: Move 11,000 steps or more each day this week.
Goal #5: Run at least 1 run under 2 miles.
Goal #6: Help Hayden with his Pinewood Derby Car for Cub Scouts. The race is this weekend and we haven't even started on his car! Kind of bittersweet because this will be his last Pinewood Derby Car since it's his last year in Cub Scouts.
Goal #7: Get everything ready for Sawyer for his gymnastics meet. I need to make sure he has all the clothing items he needs for the meet packed in his gym bag. I also need to pack all of us up for the trip.
So that's my plan for this week! I hope you have a great week reaching your goals!
QOTD: What goals are you chasing this week?
