We started the weekend off Friday night with a date night! We had tickets in Pensacola to see The Nutcracker! I was so excited!!! We got dressed up which was so much fun!
We went to dinner before the ballet. We went to a restaurant called The Global Grill. It was divine! We will definitely be going back there again!
We had some time after dinner before the ballet started so we walked around downtown. It was gallery night so all the stores had things going on and the streets were closed. It was so pretty with all the white Christmas lights everywhere!
Then it was time for The Nutcracker!!!
The ballet was amazing! It is one of my favorites because in high school I danced the part of Clara in our high school production. So it has always held a special place in my heart. It was Andy's first time going to the ballet. He enjoyed it but I'm not sure I'll get him there again lol!
After The Nutcracker we went to a local coffee shop to warm up with some coffee. It wasn't my beloved Starbucks but it hit the spot. It was so cold outside!
It was an amazing date night! We had so much fun!!!
Saturday I woke up and ran 7 miles solo. I'll tell you more about my run on Wednesday.
The rest of Saturday Andy and I finished up all our Christmas shopping. Later that night we went to a friend's house to watch the Christmas boat parade! We ate and sat around the bonfire after the parade. Then we came home and watched the movie San Andreas. It was a good movie but intense! It was another fun night!
Sunday I got in a 2.5 mile run. The rest of the morning we lazed around a bit and enjoyed our coffee. We wrapped a few presents. Then Andy and I went out for lunch. We finished up some last minute Christmas gifts we realized we needed. Then we came home and wrapped more presents. I just LOVE this time of year!!! And I am so thankful for the time I've had to get things done without the boys being here. It has made it much easier!
This weekend I also got Starbucks goodies from a friend who just returned from Disney! I saw the Christmas ornament and mug online and told her I had to have them! LOVE them!!!!
