Fitness Friday...December 4th Edition!

Well this week it was back to reality from Thanksgiving break. Luckily the week went by pretty fast since I was super busy at school getting my preschoolers ready for their Christmas program on Monday! We now only have two more weeks of school until Christmas vacation! The countdown is on!!!

It was so hard to get out of bed early on Monday morning after being off a week! But I got up and got my run in. And then to work I went. I had a great day thankfully! And then afterwords I headed to Starbucks for Merry Mondays. If you spent $15 you earned 8 bonus stars! So of course I did a little Christmas shopping that I would have done later anyway. Might as well earn bonus stars! And of course...I couldn't leave without my coffee frappuccino!


My new ornament looks amazing on my Christmas tree!


And I LOVE my new coffee mug!!!


Tuesday I wore my new cardigan that I bought not long ago. It's not my normal style but I got tons of compliments on it. So is it a keeper???




Wednesday after school I headed back to Starbucks for more bonus stars. I earned 3 bonus stars for buying a holiday espresso drink after 2PM. I tried the Gingerbread Latte for the first time. It was pretty yummy!

 

Thursday it turned cold here. The high was only in the 50's! That's cold here on the Gulf Coast! It was in the 30's last night...brrr! So I was cold ALL DAY LONG! I needed afternoon coffee to warm me up.


And I've been on SnapChat for awhile but have never really played much with it. Well I started this week...and oh my goodness it's so much fun!!! And my boys LOVE playing around with all the fun stuff on there! We've laughed so hard we were in tears this week!




Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I missed telling y'all about my runs last week since I took some time off from blogging for Thanksgiving. But don't worry...my streak is still going strong! I ran a TON while I was on Thanksgiving break. So this week I scaled it back some and did a lot of under 2 milers.



  • Friday- 2.27 mile run in 17:52 average pace 7:52
  • Sunday- 2.26 mile run in 18:31 average pace 8:12
  • Monday- #plankaday 2:05, 1.87 mile run in 15:15 average pace 8:09

  • Tuesday- #plankaday 2:05, 1.88 mile run in 15:28 average pace 8:14

  • Wednesday- #plankaday 2:05, 1.88 mile run in 15:20 average pace 8:09

  • Thursday- #plankaday 2:10, 1.86 mile run in 15:26 average pace 8:17


My runs were great this week! I had some back pain on Friday but it felt better pretty quickly thank goodness! I am having a little bit of back/hip tightness but I know it's because I need new shoes. Don't ya wanna help a girl out Asics???? ;-) Hopefully I can get some new shoes soon.

This weekend I have 7 miles on my Glass Slipper Challenge training schedule. Hoping for another great run!!!
