I had a very busy but fun weekend! Friday morning we were blessed with an amazing sunrise while waiting on the school bus! The colors were amazing!
Friday afternoon at work a few of the teachers were talking about attending a women's conference (Unique Conference) at their church that night. They had an extra ticket and asked me if I wanted to go. I said yes...and I'm so glad I did! It was such a blessing! I loved it so much that I decided to go back the next day for day 2!
The conference was amazing! God really showed up! And they made it extra fun for us by having a beauty bar (where you could get your nails and hair done), a make your own chex mix bar, and an after party with a band, dancing, and food trucks! So fun!
I didn't get home from the conference until around 11:00 that night! It was a late night for me! And I had a very early wake up call for my 6 mile run with Jenny! I'll recap the run for you on Wednesday but let me just say that we ran fast! I think we ran so fast because I had to hurry and get home to shower for day 2 of the conference!
Day 2 was just as amazing as Day 1 and I left feeling renewed and refreshed! So amazing! I even went ahead and bought my ticket for the next one in April!
Saturday afternoon I spent with my family. We went to lunch and dinner together. We also shopped for some cleats for my hubby who has his first game of church softball this week. It's been a while since he played softball and last weekend at practice his cleats pretty much disintegrated! It's been a while lol!
Sunday morning I ran 2.5 miles and then walked a little over a mile. The temps were in the 50's so it was nice! Cooler temps meant fall clothes for church! Yay! And yes...Cullen is a little photobomber! He wouldn't move lol!
Now it's time for the Weekly Chase! It's a new week and I have new goals to achieve! I hope you will link up your own goals with me too! And feel free to use the badge below in your post too! You can grab the badge HERE! :-)
Here are my goals from last week!
- Goal #1: Run every day! Yes! I reached day 495 yesterday! Only 5 more days until day 500!!!! I can't believe it!!!
- Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. 98%! I was in such a hurry to get ready to go to the women's conference on Saturday morning after my run that I neglected to stretch and roll. :-/
- Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. Yes! I did great this week!
- Goal #4: Move 11,000 steps or more each day this week. Yep! I had a few nights that I needed to walk around the house to get my steps. I even jumped on the trampoline to get steps lol! But I got to 11,000!
- Goal #5: Run at least 1 run under 2 miles. I did this several times last week! My body needed it!
- Goal #6: Get out all the Halloween decorations. Yes! We are all decorated!!!
Here are the goals I'm chasing this week!
Goal #1: Run every day! I will reach day 500 of my run streak on Friday!!! Not stopping now!
Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. Need to be sure to do this EVERY day this week!
Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. Gotta keep staying on top of this!
Goal #4: Move 11,000 steps or more each day this week. I LOVE knowing I've moved this much every day! It's harder on the days I run under 2 miles but I still plan to get it done!
Goal #5: Run at least 1 run under 2 miles. I will probably run most of my runs under 2 miles this week so that my legs stay fresh for Sunday's half marathon!!!
Goal #6: Drink lots of water and fuel well for my next half marathon on Sunday! I can't believe my half is almost here! I plan to drink my water and eat my carbs the few days before the race. My Sole2Soul Sisters are doing the pre-race dinner at a seafood restaurant. I hate to miss it but I'm a big believer in not changing anything before a race. I always eat pizza the night before a race or long run and I'm not changing that now. Jenny and I will be eating our pizza the night before!
So that's my plan for the week! I hope you have a great week with your goals too!
QOTD: What goals do you have this week?
