I missed 3 days of work this week due to Hayden being sick. Thankfully, my in-laws came on Thursday and today to stay with him so I could go back to work. I am so grateful for them!
Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I didn't run as much as I would have liked this week due to Hayden being sick and my knee has been a little achy from the half. So I took it kind of easy.
- Saturday- 13.1 mile run at the Rock 'n' Fly Half Marathon in 2:34:53 average pace 11:49
- Sunday- Rest Day
- Monday- #plankaday 1:10, 3.11 mile run in 30:29 average pace 9:49
- Tuesday- #plankaday 1:05
- Wednesday- #plankaday 1:16
- Thursday- #plankaday 1:05, 3.11 mile run in 29:59 average pace 9:39
- Friday- #plankaday 1:00

So that was my week! I'm hoping that no one else, including me, in the family gets the sickness Hayden had. This weekend we are supposed to go camping with the cub scouts. We have decided to just go up for the day on Saturday since Hayden has been sick. I don't want to risk him relapsing sleeping outside in the cooler air. Plus there is rain in the forecast all weekend.
I'm also not sure if I'm going to run a long run this weekend or not. I feel like the achy knee is a sign that my body needs some recovery time. If I do run it will only be 5 miles. And I will take it slow and easy. I only have one more race this season...the Crescent City Classic 10K in two weeks. So I'm not super worried about the training. I also know it's time for some new shoes so I got those yesterday. Hopefully they will make the knee happier!
