It has felt so great this week to get back into a normal running routine! My runs have meant more than anything to me this week since I ran them in honor of Boston. It's also been great to run...just to run. I have no races that I am training for right now since it is getting too hot to race. So my running for the next few months will be all about the enjoyment.
I'm super excited about this weekend. I am running the Color Me Rad 5K...and my boys are running it with me!!! It will be their first race and I can't wait for them to experience it! We are gonna have a blast! Today I picked up my packet...gets me so excited! And I love that they give you a free pair of sunglasses! And the race shirt was awesome! Blue...one of my favorite colors!!!

I felt like it was a pretty good week as far as runs went. I needed to run this week. And my run Thursday with the girls was awesome! We ran for Boston and talked about the tragedy. That was something I really needed...talking to other runners about it because they all understood the feelings I was feeling. We also ended up talking about God and where he was in all this. It was so helpful. I hope that you have someone to talk to about it too. It really helped me grieve and heal some. I still have the feelings of fear, anger, and despair over what happened. But I know living my life is what it will take to help me heal. I still have Boston in my heart and prayers and will for a very long time.
I hope you all have a great weekend! Spend time with your family....hug and kiss them and be sure to tell them you love them.
QOTD: Have you ever run Color Me Rad? Is it similar to the Color Run?
