Kat and Laura wanted to do a fun run before CrossFit and the Sole2Soul Sisters run tonight. I have been super busy all day and wasn't sure if I would be able to fit it in but I did! And I am so glad! We had an easy and slightly hilly run! Felt amazing! We ran 3.01 miles in 32:28 at an average pace of 10:47!
After the run, we did CrossFit! We did our normal warm up up jogging in place, high knees, heisman's, vertical jumps, and some other stuff lol! I then attempted wheelbarrows...which I unfortunately could not do because a week ago I pulled a muscle in my abs (from showing my aunt the vertical broad jumps we had done the week before...guess I wasn't warmed up and I pulled the right ab muscle! It brought me to my knees in pain and I almost fainted twice! Kind of embarrassing but it is feeling MUCH better. Luckily it didn't affect my running but I felt it tonight when I got in that plank position so I did not want to risk further injuring it). I did do the frog jumps and sprints with them though!
After CrossFit, me and Andrea headed to Fairhope to help with the Sole2Soul Sisters run. I normally work with the group in Daphne but Paige couldn't be there tonight and asked me if I would go to Fairhope in her place. They had a great turnout tonight! I ran week 5 of the C25K with them. I really enjoyed getting to know these ladies and sharing my passion of running with them! I was so proud of them tonight...they did awesome! I remember how I felt when I was doing C25K and what a great feeling it was! GOD is awesome and this ministry is awesome!!! So thankful to be a part of it!!!
Happy New Year!! Well I'm hoping to start Couch to 5K this week. The weather here has been rainy.
